#EWETRIPS --> MUNICH --> ICELAND --> PHOENIX
Just back from a solo trip to Munich for OPTI. First time to this smaller show, which meant packed aisles, but an overall chill vibe. Spring is one of our busiest seasons in AZ, as we get flooded with snowbirds, and spring training visitors. It’s always my favorite season to buy for, but this year was especially exciting and inspiring. As we approach March keep an eye out for lots of new arrivals. En route…. sunclips by AHLEM with bauhaus style engravings (clap, clap, clap); a new take on the insider two, as well as the most perfectly swept cateyes by DITA. Thom Browne upped the color options with a beautiful new tortoise to some of its most popular shapes. Garrett Leight bringing it with sparkles, denim wrapped frames, and more folding shades (travel must). SALT introduced a thinner lighter weight collection of frames, as well as a few new subtle happy earth tones, AND these killer chunked up sunglasses with signature SALT lenses (they only use polarized lenses and they’re THE best). And last but not least, SUPER takes Tuttolente up a notch, and adds new colorways to the Andy Warhol colab. Highlight of the show, chatting with AHLEM on the floor of her booth with her little Helio, SUPER MOM!
Squeezed in a little site seeing at Munich Residenz, Antiquarium, amazing. And next popped over to Reykavik for a soak in the geothermal seawater of the blue lagoon, silica mask, massage, reiki, shopping, and people watching. Short and sweet, but headed back to the desert smiling, relaxed, refreshed!
Where will you travel to next, and what eyewear will you take with you?
