Introducing Place de la Concorde in Khaki, the first ever AHLEM and FRAMED EWE exclusive release.
The limited edition release of only 15 pieces premiered at the Grand Opening Party for FRAMED EWE Los Feliz, Saturday, August 3rd, but will be hitting the shelves of FRAMED EWE in Phoenix, Fred Segal Sunset and framedewe.com on August 10th.
When the collaboration was first discussed Place de la Concorde felt like an obvious choice because of its popularity and timelessness. It was one of the first metal frames Ahlem Manai-Platt designed and was part of the first release. With this collection, Ahlem was recognized by the CFDA award for her talent and achievement as an eyewear designer. It’s a square aviator frame that fits all faces, its subtle cool and sophisticated details make it the perfect choice for anyone wanting an updated version of the classic aviator.
We wanted a neutral color, something that would be unique but still really wearable. We explored different color options and Ahlem suggested khaki on khaki. When it came back from the factory, we both loved it!
Handcrafted by artisans in Oyonnax, France. This palladium frame has a khaki finish, khaki Christian Dalloz Hydrophobic lenses with backside anti-glare coating, enhancing clarity while protecting against water and smudging. 100% UVA/UVB protection. It also features titanium engraved nose pads, beveled temples and signature vintage acetate temple tips
