Jacques Marie Mage (JMM), in conjunction with UMe, is proud to present White Light limited edition glasses named after the Velvet Underground's second album, White Light/White Heat and directly inspired by those worn by founding band member, John Cole.
The glasses are the first in a series of spectacles that seek to capture the counter-cultural cool of one of the most influential bands ever. As Brian Eno once famously claimed, although the band sold only 30,000 records in the first five years of its short tenure. "Everyone who bought one of those 30,000 copies started a band". A bold new edition of JMM's Circa Collection, "White Light glasses are designed in Los Angeles then handcrafted in Japan using premium 10"-thick acetate, and are produced in a limited, hand-numbered edition of 500.

The glasses come in a sturdy, metallic silver box and case (a reference to the foil décor at Andy Warhol's Factory) accompanied by a commemorative cleaning cloth featuring an exclusive band image. Additionally, the spectacles will be shipped with an official re-issue of the White Light/ White Heat vinyl 12" LP in custom JMM burgundy.
